Abstract: The formation of residual astigmatism after cataract surgery is mainly affected by preoperative corneal astigmatism and surgical induced astigmatism. Designing and making incision is one of the main ways to control residual astigmatism after cataract surgery. This method is affected by many factors, such as incision size (width), incision length and depth, incision position, incision structure, and incision healing. The effect of manual incision correction is limited. Femtosecond laserassisted incision making and corneal relaxing are more stable, effective, and clinically applicable.
